Diabetes increases in India


India had more diabetics than any other country in the world, according to the International Diabetes Foundation.Diabetes currently affects more than 62 million Indians, which is more than 7.1% of the adult population. About 1 million people die every year due to diabetes in India.
According to the Indian heart association India will be project to be home of near about 110 million individuals with diabetes in 2030. Diabetes a serious disease in which a person’s body cannot control the level of sugar in the blood.

Types of diabetes.
  1. Type 1 diabetes mellitus
  2. Type 2 diabetes mellitus
  3. gestational diabetes

Type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1DM) 
T1DM also known as juvenile diabetes. It occurs generally in child due to poor function of beta cell, autoimmune disease etc.Type 1 diabetes occurs when body unable to make insulin(by pancreas) this happen due to poor function of beta cells. People who has type 1 diabetes they depend on artificial insulin. Necessary to take insulin daily for live. T1DM may be autoimmune or idiopathic in nature and is present in 9% cases of insulin deficiency.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) 
T2DM in this case body is not produce insulin in effective amount. In India type 2 diabetes generally, found in urban areas. Due to genetic history, less active lifestyle, obesity, more consumption of calories per day, etc...  In T2DM person has to take balance healthy diet and do exercise daily. Near about 50% patients are age of 40 years.

Gestational diabetes
It occurs in women during pregnancy, when the body becomes less sensitive to insulin. Gestational diabetes does not occurs in all women, after birth Gestational diabetes is resolve automatically.

Symptoms of diabetes

  • Excessive thirst and hunger
  • Frequent urination (from urinary tract infections or kidney problems)
  • Weight loss or gain
  • Fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Blurred vision
  • Slow-healing of wounds
  • Nausea
  • Skin infections
  • Darkening of skin in areas of body creases (acanthosis nigricans)
  • Breath odor that is fruity, sweet, or an acetone odor
  • Tingling or numbness in the hands or feet, are symptoms of it. 
Gender is a chance factor for diabetes. Men at higher chance to get diabetes than women in type 2 diabetes. family history also matter in this disease.such as first digree relative with diabetes. Obesity,highblood pressure, etc... are some symptoms of diabetes.
